The non-contact, high-precision measurement process offers greater accuracy than traditional interval measurement with calipers, ensuring consistently high product quality.
K-Profile AG develops and manufactures customized plastic profiles from various engineering plastics for the machine, electrical and automotive industries.
Thanks to their specific properties, thermoplastic profiles offer new possibilities in the design of plastic profiles. K-Profile AG, a manufacturer of customized plastic profiles, therefore relies on continuous inline laser monitoring. Deviations from the required tolerances can be detected and prevented one hundred percent.
Continuous quality control - even for complex profiles
Laser measurement is a continuous, non-contact measurement that works with all non-transparent plastics. It is accurate to one hundredth of a millimeter and is ideal for complex profiles that cannot be checked with conventional calipers. All profiles that do not meet the required tolerances are reliably detected and automatically rejected. This ensures that only profiles that meet the exact requirements are delivered to our customers. This not only increases product quality, but also protects the environment by eliminating replacement production and returns.
Plans to equip more production lines with laser measurement.
So far, K-Profile has equipped one of its production lines at the Bischofszell plant with a laser measuring device and tested it in everyday production for a year. As this process has proven to be very successful and has significantly simplified quality assurance, the entire production line is to be equipped with laser measuring equipment in the medium term.
